Product Release Notes: Introducing Policy-Based Screening with Fama Lens

Fama is pleased to launch Fama Lens, the next generation of social media background checks and policy-based screening. With Fama Lens, you can screen for specific behaviors that violate your policies and pose risks to your people and brand.
What is policy-based screening?
Policy-based screening is a modern approach to social media screening that screens your people against your exact internal policies and brand guidelines. It maps every “hit” to the policy it violates, so you only see results that violate your policies and pose risk. This new approach streamlines adjudication processes, saving HR and Talent Acquisition teams time and money on report review.
Fama Lens vs. Fama Plus: What’s the difference?
Fama Plus requires users to set up flags and keywords based on their interpretation of their own risk tolerance and policy. While distilling down substantial complexity, users of this product are left filtering through results that may be generically risky, but not risky to their business.
Fama Lens offers the exact same source coverage, but uses a company’s policy to determine what appears on a report - no matter the nuance. In terms of real results: consider that you can edit flag definitions, add context to keywords, and create risk topics uniquely relevant to you.
The Fama Lens approach includes:
- Creating Your Policy: We host a Policy Workshop in which you share your policies and what matters most to your organization. If you don't have a policy, we have a team that can help you create one & approved by your relevant stakeholders. From there, our experts work within our multi-agent consensus model to ensure that your policy is accurately reflected in your Fama account.
- Screen With Lens: Fama Lens first screens over 10,000 publicly available online sources for behavior that violates your policies and poses a risk, removing any content that does not violate your specific policy. This ensures unique risks are scanned for and flagged.
- Adjudicate with Ease: You receive reports showing only behavior that violates your policies, based on your own definitions. This makes it easy to review reports and quickly identify which people exhibit behavior patterns relevant to your organization and that would violate your policies. Fewer hits means less review fatigue, more consistent adjudication decisions, and highly relevant screening without any noise.
