Fama is excited to announce the addition of Reddit as an officially supported source for screening post content! As one of the world’s most active community-based platforms, Reddit offers a unique window into a person’s online behavior. This addition allows Fama customers to capture and analyze community-level engagement, providing a more comprehensive view of potential workplace misconduct risks.
What to Know
- Reddit as a Source: Our system now scans Reddit for relevant content, ensuring that both text and visual media are screened across subreddits.
- Content Screened: Original posts and cross-posts, or posts shared to subreddits, including embedded images and thumbnails.
- Extensive Post History: We capture all relevant posts within your specific check-type subscription’s lookback period.
- AI-Powered Analysis: Our sophisticated AI model will continue to flag content in the same way Fama screens other online and social media content and will continue to flag for the same misconduct flags and selected keywords.
What’s New on Fama Reports?
Flagged content on Reddit will display on reports with:
- Original Text and Images
- Link to post
- Post Date
- Flag Type
Known Limitations
- Personal Profiles: While we capture cross-posts made to subreddits, cross-posts made directly to a user’s personal profile page are not included.
A user’s Reddit profile contains a list of posts, serving as a sort of feed. To this list, users can add cross-posts not authored by them to their own profile, allowing followers to be informed of content that the user deems relevant to their audience. - Multimedia: Video scraping and audio transcription are currently unsupported for Reddit.
- Engagement Metrics: Upvotes and downvotes are not captured.
- Comments: Comments (both made by the user or received from others) are not included at this time.
