FCA PS25/23 requires firms monitor non-financial misconduct on social media

An employee posts something. Someone screenshots it. By Monday morning it is on a manager’s desk. The policy document does not tell them what to do next. The FCA’s new non-financial misconduct rules pull social media conduct squarely inside the regulatory perimeter. Around 50,000 UK regulated firms are in scope. Bullying, harassment and discrimination no longer stop at the office door, and regulators now want evidence your firm can actually handle it when it happens.

The clock is ticking. Now is your time to prepare.

The FCA’s latest guidance expands regulatory expectations beyond financial crime to include harassment, discrimination, and online behaviour. If your screening process hasn’t evolved, you may be exposed. Use these resources to get the scoop as we count down to the 1 September, 2026 deadline.
