Product Release Notes: TikTok as a Source

Fama is excited to announce a dynamic new feature: TikTok as a Source! Last year, we announced the ability to add TikTok profiles to Fama reports. Now, we are proud to announce new capabilities on the platform that allow us to screen content on the TikTok platform. This feature marks a major step forward in online and candidate screening, opening Fama customers up to screening on one of the largest social media platforms in the world.

What to Know:

  • TikTok as a Source: Customers will now have the ability to screen content on TikTok, offering a richer, more diverse set of data for your analysis.
  • How TikTok Content is Screened: Fama is abiding by the current content moderation processes – combining AI and human oversight to screen text, captions, and audio in posts on the platform.
  • Extensive Post History: Access up to 1,000 of the most recent video posts per profile.
  • AI-Powered Analysis: Our sophisticated AI model will continue to flag content in the same way Fama screens other online and social media content, and will continue to flag for the same misconduct flags and selected keywords.
  • Keyword Match in Audio Transcription: In addition to text-based keyword matches, the Fama solution will now be able to search for keywords in transcribed audio from TikTok videos, enhancing the depth of our analysis.
  • Same Report Turnaround Time: The addition of TikTok as a Source will not impact customer TAT, and customers can expect their finished reports within their normal timeframe.
  • Subscription Requirements: TikTok is a Fama Premium Source, available for purchase. Please speak to your Account Manager about adding TikTok to your Fama reports.

What’s New on Fama Reports?

Customers who purchase TikTok as a Source will still receive the same Fama reports you know and love, with the addition of any content on TikTok that is flagged for misconduct. Flagged content on TikTok will show up with:

  • GIF Snapshot: A 2-second GIF of the video's cover image is included for a quick content preview.
  • Text Transcription: Complete transcription of videos, including song lyrics if an original audio track is used.
  • Rich Content Capture: Captions, hashtags, and emojis included in the post.
  • Post Details: Date of post and post type – whether original, liked, or shared – will appear in the same other content on Fama reports.    
  • Link to Post: A clickable link to the original video on TikTok.

Who will be able to purchase TikTok?

All users on the new Fama platform will be able to purchase TikTok as a Source. This Premium Source is available on Fama Plus and 360 reports.
