7 Questions with Bianca Calhoun Lager

What is your role at Social Intelligence?

General Manager, which basically means I wear all the head-of-department hats - Finance, Marketing, Sales, HR, Product Delivery, Engineering/Tech, Customer Service, etc, etc, etc.....

Where would you like to travel to?

Anywhere I can scuba dive. It's one of the most present and calming physical activities I've ever done and being apart of a whole other world is an incredible experience. Then again I also wouldn't mind drinking wine and eating baguettes in Italy sometime soon....

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Exercise patience.

What is your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?

Indoors - reading, both turning pages and listening to audiobooks. Outdoors - good old fashion walking. There's nothing like a good walk to clear your mind.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

Everyday is totally different and full of challenges. I also love public speaking so giving presentations at conferences and pitching to potential clients is fun for me. I thrive in juggling a million tasks and I like being dependable which is a good thing because there is no slowing down around here and everyone always needs something I hope I can help with!

What did you want your adult profession to be when you were a kid?

Astronaut or Ballerina. Still want both.

Fill in the blank: If you really knew me, you’d know _____.

I'm a cynical optimist which means I believe everything is surmountable if you put your mind to it and show up to work at it, but I realistically expect disappointment along the way. I'm a big believer in accepting what is and going full throttle for what you think you can create.
